OSHO Reminding Yourself of the Forgotten
Language of Talking to Your BodyMind
Did you also stumble over this long and complex-sounding headline? Most of us do, yet Osho insisted on giving this meditative therapy – the last mediation process he developed – this long mouthful of a name. Later it became very clear that the name has a very specific purpose, and in fact emphasizes what Osho tries us to do in this process, to remember something we already know but have just forgotten. He did not want any shorter title for this program. The focus of this method is to make friends with our bodies, from which we are in many ways estranged. This is a healing process, designed to bring us again in tune with our bodies. The instructions, to communicate verbally with your body as if talking to a friend, might appear a bit unusual in the beginning, but in this daily repeated process an incredible relaxation happens, and we again become friends with our bodies.
Developed initially as a group process, this valuable method is now available as an app so that you and others can experiment with it.
This is originally designed as a guided one-week process, lasting one hour per day that can then be continued or refreshed at any time. The method is based on the understanding that we need to be taught anew to become friends with our bodies and minds; that these two are not separate from us or from each other– the mind and body are not independent entities but are deeply related. The mind can affect the condition of the body, just as the condition of the body can affect the mind. We need to remember “the forgotten language” of communicating with the bodymind about those areas where our tensions and pains exist.
Once you start communicating with your body, things become very easy. The body need not be forced, it can be persuaded. One need not fight with the body – that’s ugly, violent, aggressive, and any sort of conflict is going to create more and more tension. So you need not be in any conflict – let comfort be the rule. And the body is such a beautiful gift from nature that to fight with it, is to deny nature itself. It is a shrine… we are enshrined in it; it is a temple. We exist in it and we have to take every care of it – it is our responsibility.
So for seven days…. It will look a little absurd in the beginning because we have never been taught to talk to our own body – and miracles can happen through it. They are already happening without our knowing it. When I am saying something to you, my hand follows in a gesture. I am talking to you – it is my mind that is communicating something to you. My body is following it. The body is en rapport with the mind. Osho
In a light trance, while combining deep relaxation with alertness, you learn to harness the bodymind’s creative and self-healing energies. These can be brought to any specific issues of imbalance or unease, such as smoking, eating imbalances, insomnia, aches and pains – any functions that are normally part of the body and which need to be brought to wholeness and balance again. This process is a chance to mobilize your self-healing energies and to relax deeply.
Today we offer not exactly the same course how it is given in Osho International Meditation Resort. We call it group practice of this method. Where we altogether practice it using recorded guiding voice. We facilitate the space with our loving presence and support any your inquiry about Osho Active Meditations which we usually recommend to be done together with the method.
